American Industrial Hygiene Association
AIHA promotes, protects, and enhances industrial hygienists and other occupational health, safety and environmental professionals in their efforts to improve the health and well being of workers, the community, and the environment.

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc.
APIC is a multidisciplinary voluntary international organization with over 10,000 members. Its purpose is to influence, support, and improve the quality of healthcare through the practice and management of infection control and the application of epidemiology in all health settings. The organization, which is based in Washington , DC , is led by an elected board of members who volunteer their time and expertise.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is one of the 13 major operating components of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), which is the principal agency in the United States government for protecting the health and safety of all Americans and for providing essential human services, especially for those people who are least able to help themselves.

Contact Dermatitis
A journal for clinicians who are interested in various aspects of environmental dermatitis. This includes both allergic and irritant (toxic) types of contact dermatitis, occupational (industrial) dermatitis and consumers' dermatitis from such products as cosmetics and toiletries. The journal aims at promoting and maintaining communication among dermatologists, industrial physicians, allergists and clinical immunologists, as well as chemists and research workers involved in industry and the production of consumer goods.

One of the largest federal agencies, the Department of Health and Human Services is the principal agency for protecting the health of all Americans. Comprising 12 operating divisions, HHS' responsibilities include public health, biomedical research, Medicare and Medicaid, welfare, social services, and more.

Department of Labor & Industries
The Safety & Health Assessment & Research for Prevention (SHARP) Program is a multidisciplinary research program within the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries, whose mission is to conduct research, monitoring, and demonstration projects that promote healthy work environments and the prevention of workplace injuries and illnesses. SHARP was created by the Washington State Legislature in 1990.

The National Safety Council
Founded in 1913 and chartered by the United States Congress in 1953, it is the nation's leading advocate for safety and health. Its mission is "to educate and influence society to adopt safety, health and environmental policies, practices and procedures that prevent and mitigate human suffering and economic losses arising from preventable causes."

Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), U.S. Department of Labor
The mission of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is to save lives, prevent injuries and protect the health of America 's workers. To accomplish this, federal and state governments must work in partnership with the more than 100 million working men and women and their six and a half million employers who are covered by the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.

Skin Research & Technology
A clinically oriented journal on biophysical methods and imaging techniques and how they are used in dermatology, cosmetology and plastic surgery for noninvasive quantification of skin structure and functions. The Journal has a wide scope and aims to link scientists, clinical researchers and technicians through original articles, communications, editorials and commentaries, letters, reviews, announcements and news.
